Fresh asparagus has a high water and fibre content, so it is recommended in diets for its diuretic and satiating power.
They have a low fat and sugar content.
They are high in vitamins: folates, beta-carotene and provitamin A (which the body then transforms into vitamin A), vitamin C and E. Thanks to these vitamins, they have a great antioxidant power. Although to a lesser extent, it also contains vitamins of the B group.
