Our canned sardines are delicious; with their smell, intense flavor, silvery appearance and perfect placement and presentation in the package. The starting point is always the selection in the fish market of the best specimens, the freshest and the smallest ones (in each can you will find between 12 and 16 sardines).
In our factory in Moaña (Pontevedra) expert hands of our production staff, behead and eviscerate each fish one by one. Then they are steam roasted and packed with care and precision to try to get the most attractive view possible when you open your can. The icing on the cake is achieved with the addition of organic extra virgin olive oil*. The result is spectacular and now you can check it out.
Keep in mind that the maturation time, which can last from a few months to several years, is fundamental, since the flavor of the sardines improves as the oil penetrates the fish. Periodic turning of the cans ensures an exquisite and uniform flavor that will satisfy the most demanding palates.
In recent years, canned sardines have acquired great fame as a food of high nutritional value. We could say that, at a nutritional level, sardines take the gold medal. They contain a high concentration of vitamin B12, in addition to vitamins A, D, K and E. They are also an important source of protein, sodium, phosphorus, iodine and calcium. And rich in Omega 3 and oleic acid, what more could you ask for?
